The large lamp above made a rather odd buzzing sound, as if killing bugs. It was dim outside, and pretty cold. The bench underneath the lamp held a girl also known as 'Catheryn.' The wind softly swayed her hair like long, meadow grass,as she quickly tucked a few loose strands behind her ears which revealed her small pearl earings.
She took a deep sigh and let it run through out her lungs. In her lap was a thin notebook that had words scattered all over the pages. It was how she kept all her thoughts, or quotes. Beside her was her cute googly eye'd border collie puppy, which was well behaved for the age. It laid along the side of her with it's snout on the edge of her legs. Catheryn softly stroked her pup which was named 'Rio' with her soft lotioned hands. Near Rio, was Cat's pink nano ipod, that held a varitie of songs ranging from many genres.
Her wardobe was classy, yet warm and comfortable..which was all that mattered in an outfit. She hardly wore anything that didn't fit her defintion of comfortable, unless it was for a fancy dinner or such.A tightly fitted white tank top covered her torso, with a soft pink, plain, no collared polo over it, still showing abit of it at top and bottom. A creamy-tan, furlined zipper, sweatshirt clung loosely to her waist with the word 'Abercrombie' written across the chest. Wrapted at the legs were ripped and destroyed light denim pants that at the bottom were covered by white ugg boots.
She slowly once more began to write. Her first three words were.... Clustered with thought.

Having left his motorcycle at home that day since he had Kendra tagging along with him, Christian was limited to either catching a cab or walking. Since the bouncy kid beside him wanted to take a stroll through the park on the way home, he had no other option but to walk, obviously. Keeping a secure hold on the five year old's small, gloved hand, Chris watched amusedly as she hopped the entire way in. Jeeze. Maybe he shouldn't have given her a whole cup of hot chocolate at the ice rink. It had her even more hyper than she usually was. That in itself, was saying something.
Gently crunching snow with his brown, workman style boots, he slowly moved up the pathway, not wanting to make her exert herself too much. His free hand was stuffed into the side pocket of his dark wash jeans, keeping his fingers warm since he'd gone without gloves. The soft wind picked up the longer strands of his dark brown hair, tickling the ends against the tops of his ears. He didn't mind it though.
"Puppy!" Kendra squealed, sighting one up ahead, next to a green-eyed girl. As she pulled her uncle towards the animal, her raven curls bounced against her lavender-sweater clad torso.
Giving the woman an apologetic look, in case they were disrupting her with Kenny's childish excitement, he stopped short in front of her. Rubbing at his long-sleeved grey shirt, which clung to his fit torso, but was hidden beneath a dark camel brown jacket, he said, "Hi." Might as well greet her since Kendra wanted to pet her dog, obviously.

Catheryn laughed at the girl, and them both a greeting smile revealing her white teeth and glossed lips. "Her name is Rio" She informed the girl, with the smile still across her face. Oh she was a cutie, very hyper but cute none the less. She shifted her radiant green eyes toward the man. "Hello, I'm Catheryn" she introduced as she put the notebook to her side.
A daughter? she assumed as he gave up hopelessly to the little girl. She held her free hand toward the guy as the other held a coffe cup with hot coco. Her pink scarf was gentally laid along her shoulders and neck as she faced both of the people. Rio whined happily as the girl gave him attention while wagging his tail.
"Well I guess they're both excited" she laughed as she watched her dog's actions. Well atleast she had some company now, it was very silent in the park when your alone.

Ashton walked through the park with a bubbly puppy at his heels, it was none other but the little lab puppy Fleur. His 'brothers' dog. He had on a pair of old black frayed girl jeans with a skin tight royal purple shirt. On the purple shirt was a lime green dinosaur and under it, in big hot pink words were 'RAWR!'. Over his shirt was a black hoodie with a hot pink heart on the back and on the front. It was zipped up half way not hiding the dinosaur or the words, but hiding the lower half of the shirt. The hoodie was equally as tight as the shirt, maybe alittle less. On his feet was a pair of black vans with lime green laces. His hair was still the light, bright blue hair with the white layered on top of it. It looked rather nice with the boys deep brown eyes. A grin was on his face as he looked down at the puppy hopping around.

"Rio...meaning river?" Kendra asked, getting up close and personal with the dog. That is, lightly scratching behind it's ears then rubbing at his fur. The dog was adorable.
Not even about to ask how Kendra would know if that was the meaning of the word or not, Chris looked away from the pair and down to the woman as she introduced herself. "I'm Chris," he informed, gently holding her hand and giving it a light shake. "And that's Kendra," he stated, jerking a finger towards his niece after removing the hand from Catheryn's. He smirked slightly, slipping the other hand into a pant pocket as well. "Mmhmm. I made the mistake of giving her hot chocolate at the ice rink. She's been way hyper since then," he muttered, shifting his weight from one leg to the next.
"We're not interrupting are we?" he asked, seeing as she'd been busy writing something in a book prior to their arrival. She seemed nice enough though, so he wasn't in that great a rush to get Kendra back to her dad.

"Smart girl" she smiled as she said the meaning of Rio's name. Glancing around she noticed another boy walking around with a jumpy puppy. She softly nodded toward him in a greeting manner then turned her attention back to the pair. Catheryn laughed. They wouldn't be interrupting anything special. She looked at the nootbook then back to Chris. "Of course not" she stated with a smirk.
She shifted back and forth from the kid to the man. They seemed like a nice pair.."Your daughter?" she asked curiously while locking her gaze on the girl. "Kendra is a beautiful name" she complemented.
Rio jumped around playfully with the girl soaking in the attention. Usually she was calm and quiet but when given the chance of attention she was up and bouncing around like a wild turkey.

Seeing a couple of people up ahead Ashton clicked his tongue to his teeth and walked up. Fleur followed behind still having a very good time jumping at his heels. "Hello."Ashton said giving a small wave then grinning. Yes, Ashton was out alone tonight. Antony was out doing something with his band or what not and had given Ashton permission to take out the dog. Little did Antony know that Ashton had also slipped the little orange kitten Glade into his jacket where it sat curled up and purring agaisnt his stomach. The kitten also provided Ashton with plenty of warmth at his stomach area where he got super cold really fast.

Merely smiling, Kendra nodded. "My mommy's Italian...she teach me some stuff," she murmured with a lisp, before cooing softly at the puppy.
"Good," Chris said, and then shook his head in the negative. "Naw. Too cute to be mine," he joked, smirking, sliding Kendra a look. "She's my niece actually. My eldest brother Kent's kid," he provided the correct information. Just then, the guy from the rink had approached. Ashton...he thought his name was. It would be hard to forget someone with hair like that. "Hey," he said back in greeting, noting Kendra doing the same.
"Another puppy," Kendra grinned, though kept her attention on Rio, who seemed to love it. It wasn't that she didn't like Ashton's mutt, but she had seen Rio first, of course. "Hey coo' hair dude," she smiled, remembering him from the rink. "This my new fwend. Rio and...Cat..Catren...ugh." She couldn't pronounce the name, causing a pout to appear on her naturally red lips. Hmph.
"It's okay," Chris smiled, ruffling the little girl's hair as he took a seat on the other side of the bench. The unoccupied end.

Ashton grinned at Chris. "Hello again."He said smiling. He looked at Kendra grinning as he bent down her level. "Ah, I'm glad someone remembers me! Well, hello Rio and Cat Catren ugh eh?" Ashton asked chuckling. "You'll get it, you just need to practice."Ashton said. A soft meow came out of his jacket as the cat was shuffed in a new uncomfortable pose. "Ek! Sorry Glade."Ashton murmmered standing up. Fleur didn't mind not haveing the attention. She got enough from Ashton. No, Fleur was running off but was brought back by a trilling sound made by, none other than Ashton.

"You can just call me Cat" she smiled at the girl's cute lisp. "Hello" she greeted toward the boy who had just approached. His hair was pretty cool she had to admit. Catheryn shifted herself toward all three of them and cleared the notebook to the ground, so that the other could sit. "You guys can sit if you want?" she smiled toward Ashton. "My step-sister is Italian also" she stated trying to start casual conversation with the people, but mainly Kendra.
"She is cute" She said toward Chris.
Tucking afew more loose strands of hair behind her ears, still with the slight smile across her face. Catheryn wiggled her toes sillily in her uggs, making her feet sway alittle.

"I better not sit, Glade might not like it."Ashton said happily patting the moving form of the cat inside his jacket. Fleur was sniffing around at a bush about a yard away making Ashton nervous. He couldn't lose this dog if he did his 'brother' would kill him. "Fleur come here girl."Ashton called whistling softly. Fleur's ears perked forward and she ran over sniffing at Ashton's shoes then sitting down looking up at him expectantly. "Italian eh? Thats cool, I like the French German thing though. But, that might just be because I am."He said shrugging. Yeah, Ashton was in a weird mood, it might just be because he had just been clawed by a cat, or that he was around people without Antony, but he was amazingly calm.

Sticking her tongue out at Ashton, who'd seen the need to make a joke out of it, Kendra smiled right after. It wasn't like she was offended or anything. There were many words she couldn't say. Take Supercalifragilisticexpealidocious, for once. Damn Mary Poppins. Where the hell had she come up with that? Kendra had been trying for quite some time to get the hang of that word, and it wasn't working. Someday though, somday. Same thing with Catheryn's name. For now, she'd be Cat though, as she'd said Kenny could call her that.
Sitting down in the snow near the 'adults', she set the dog on her lap, then looked up at Cat with adoring violet eyes. She was obviously soaking in everything the woman had to say. "That's coo'," she nodded, in response to Cat's step-sister being Italian too. "I'd like a sister, but I got stuck with a yucky baby brother. What's so funny about rolling around in mud?" she asked, eyeing the two males accusingly, as if they'd done it in their youths as well.
"Don't be looking at me like that," Chris chuckled, just as easily sobering up. He didn't smile and joke around much -- not really in his make-up to do so. Wearing a neutral expression, he nodded. "Too cute for words actually. And I think she knows it...and uses it to her advantage as well," he muttered to Catheryn, stretching his long legs out, crossing them at the ankles. "Bet you were the same when you were young huhn?" he asked, being as she was gorgeous. Even he, as a guy, couldn't deny that. Probably was a cute kid too.
"So, the both of you enjoying your day so far?" he posed the question at the pair, being as he was. Despite the one fall at the ice rink. That hadn't felt too good, but at least he didn't break anything. Not even his pride, since Kendra had affectionately laughed at him after sitting on his stomach. She urged him to try again though, which he did. No way was he the world's greatest skater now though. Not by a long shot. Just able to stay balanced on the ice.

"You carry a kitten in your pocket?" she smiled jokingly. "When I was little I carried my hamster in my pocket and thought I was cool, everyone was doing it then..but a kitten? you got a fad going on don't cha" Catheryn giggled abit. She looked admiring at Ashton, he was by far the most random guy ever. She looked at Kendra with a widened smile "Yes ..Icky boys tend to do that" she looked at both of the men with a smirk. She loved having a children's sense of humor. "Well if I was as cute as her I'd use it to my advantage too."
Catheryn fumbled her fingers as a habit as he made the child comment. "Well, not as cute as her.." she replied with a laugh.

"Ha, mock me now, but I figured. Since I was taking Fleur out, that I should take Glade. And plus she keeps my stummy warm."He said smiling. "Oh, I did it with the baby duck I had back when I was a kid. Aha! You're right it is a fad."Ashton said smiling "Its okay Kendra, I can't say alot of words, so I understand what you're going through."He said smiling and sticking his tougue back out at her.
"Two can play at that game you know!"He said grinning. "Oh, you caught me. Yes, I would play in the mud. But when you live on a farm, miles away from anything else. Its really all you have left to do!"Ashton said chuckling. "So far? I'm having a wonderful day!"Ashton cried happily twirling around grinning.

Allowing the two to speak about the animals they carried around in their pockets since he hadn't ever done that and therefore couldn't contribute to what they had in common, Chris merely remained silent. He glanced up at the falling snow, only making an effort to brush off those flakes which had decided to take up residence upon his face. He was a big fan of snow, and that was one of the reasons he hadn't made the move to warmer land as his family had done. Of course he'd thought about ditching New York quite a few times, but it never happened. For some reason or another. Maybe it was because he didn't want to leave his job. Or maybe it was that he just needed to be on his own... Either way, he missed his family, and was happy when either of the bunch decided to come and visit.
Kendra didn't have much to say either. She wasn't really allowed pets, so everytime she got the time to be around one, she got extremely giddy. Uncle Chris had often said he thought she'd grow up to be a Vet. "A duck in your pocket?" she asked, looking at him as if he was on pot. Maybe he was. To each their own. "You lived on a farm?" she asked in awe. "That means you got to be around a lot of animals at once!" she exclaimed. "Oooh. I wanna live on a farm when I grow up. Why don't you still live on one?" she asked, words coming out on a rush. Maybe she was the one on drugs... Okay, no. Just a sugar high.
"I'd be surprised if they understood anything you just said," Chris said affectionately, amused with his neice. Only takes animal talk to get her all happy.
