Just Swingin'

Surprisingly enough, the girl was alone. No blonde look-alike next to her, singing and dancing.. Bringing attention. Olivia liked the quiet times and those were the times when she came around and sat on a swing. They reminded of better days. Those days back when you're a kid? And you don't have a care in the world? Yeah, those were good days.

She was wearing a green, short, doubled-breasted peacoat. Attached on one of the pannels of the collar was a little red ribbon. The AIDS ribbon. She'd gotten it at the mall a few days ago, for AIDS awareness month.

She looked up, seeing some kids running around with their brown labrador. That was Kodak moment, huh? Cute. Olivia sighed softly, trying to gather her thoughts. Ophelia's latest drama was getting annoying. She needed someone to talk to. A friend. Her wavy dark brown hair fell down, loose and tangled as always. A small, playful smirk was on the girl's bright red lips. She reached for a cigarette inside her pockets, taking out a hot pink lighter. She lit it, bringing the stick to her lips, taking it in.

The brunette looked down at the ground, touching the snow with her knee-high black boots. She kind of popped out in this white scenery, with the green coat and all.

Running around and discovering new smeels was Ophe's dog, who Oli was getting closer to. The dog /was/ good company. Clo kept her nose in the snow, moving around quietly.

Antony was walking through the park a dog next to him. It was Logan, since Ashton wasn't at home to take him out anymore he take Logan around and out. Antony was deep in thought, about his upcoming plans, the battle of the bands, Ashton's drama, Antony's drama. Yeah, so he was in a half foul mood. Mainly because of the drama coming along. Then, because he couldn't get his emotions in check. The boy wore light wash girl jeans, low enough on him so that they were comfortable for him, seeing as he /was/ a guy and all. Keeping them up was a lime green belt with a hotpink one under it going down at an angle. The belts matched his black vans on his feet, the left had hot pink laces, and the right had lime green. On his uppered body was a brown jacket. That had a patch on the upper left arm, and lower right arm, and down the left side of his chest and stomach that patch was blue, grey and brown, with random drawings and things on it. Then, over that patch was another one cut two thirds into that patch was his pocket, that patch was also a light brown, matching the hood to that jacket and the strings that tied the hood shut. His hair was sticking up slightly, in that perfect messy way that almost everyone wore now a days. His eyes saw Olivia and he gulped slightly. 'Fuck' was the only thought going through his head. What if she demanded to know what was up with Ashton, would he be able to tell the truth, or would he lie?

Surprisingly enough, the girl wasn't thinking about him. She was actually wondering, as she saw the boy, where he'd gotten those pants - they were hot.

"Hey, Ant." she said with a smile, taking a drag from her cigarette and puffing out some smoke.

She swung lightly on the swing, as she watched Logan. She smiled, tapping on her knees, calling out to him. Clover immeditaly ran up to the larger dog, yapping like the little bitch she was. She jumped around him, panting excitedly.

Antony walked over slowly with a small wave. Trying not to trip over the two dogs infront of him. Logan trying his best to come over to Olivia, and not be distracted by the smaller one. Finally makeing it up to Olivia, Logan wagged his tail sitting down. Antony made his way over looking at the cigarette in her mouth. "You can die from that."He said quietly looking off into the park like he was searching for someone. Ashton if anyone who hung around her and Time Square alot lately. "How've you been?"Anthony asked looking back at her.

"Like I haven't been told that a million times, babe." she said, smirking. She thought it was sweet for people to care, but she woulnd't give up this nasty habit. "My hippie of a sister would kill me if she saw me smoking, so don't say a word, 'kay?" she asked, smiling in hopes he'd stay quiet about it.

"I've been better." she said, glancing down. She pet Logan's head, smiling. Clover walked over to Anthony, smelling his feet. The small dog jumped on her hind legs and supported her front legs on the boy's. "I bet you know all about what happened, huh?"

"I won't tell."Anthony said petting the dog sitting up at his legs. "Only some of it. Not enough to actually tell what happened. Ashton doesn't come home anymore. He stopped right before all the drama started."Anthony said looking at her. "So I only catch bits and pieces when we do run into each other and he wants to tell."Ant added after a moment. He shrugged and stood back up from his bet over petting stage. He sat down on a swing next to her looking up at the sky. "Why don't you feel me in?"Antony asked not looking at her but keeping his gaze to the sky.

She smiled at him sweetly, staying quiet as he explained what he knew. She sighed softly after hearing Ashton didn't come home, biting her lower lip. She felt kind of responsible for that, she'd screwed up his whole relationship.

All because of one tiny kiss.

Seeing the boy look up at the sky, she looked straight ahead. And suddenly, she burst into a confession of how she felt. "It was horrible. I felt really bad about everything and like, I hadn't meant for that to happen. It's not like I /wanted/ to break him up with Cat! He was just, he was just so sweet.. And adorable.. And fun.." she said softly, slowly remembering why she'd gotten the crush on the boy in the first place. Her eyes shined as she spoke about him, smiling softly.

Her smile dissapeared quickly though. "And then like, the other day I met Cat! And she was like a total bitch to me and I apologized and shit and like, she didn't care! And l don't see the big deal, since it was just one kiss.. And now everything's scrwed up."

"If it makes you feel any better. Ashton's not mad at you. He said, for me to tell you if I ever ran into you that he wasn't mad, he thought it was kind of funny. That in two days time, he could get more girls than he could in a year."Anthony said smiling softly. "We know you didn't, yeah, Ashton tends to be sweet, adorable and fun, until something goes wrong. Don't get me wrong, he's still sweet, and adorable and fun, but he gets real weird about it. Like, he becomes sort of an attention whore and pours how he feels out in his singing in our band."Anthony said, explaining it the best he knew. "Or, he runs away, gets hurt on purpose, if only to lighten the mood. He's done it before, when he was, thirteen, then at fourteen. Then some smaller stunts inbetween fourteen to now."Anthony said. "Or until the other day with the whole broken arm."Antony added softly. "Who knows, why she was mad. I think they still like each other though, and I think, I think she was just upset that she had fallen so fast for him. Who knows though, yeah, everything does tend to get screwed up after that."Antony said shrugging with a small frown on his face.

"See?" she said, exasperated that he wasn't mad. "How can he not be mad? God, I wish he would be mad, 'cause I'm such a 'tard." she said, pouting as she swung her legs to move, since the siwnging had stopped. "So, I guess I'll see how he feels at the Battle, huh?" she said, approaching her face to Logan's, giving him a tiny kiss on his nose. "You're so cute." she said, completely in love with this dog. He was so cute. And big. Biger dogs seemed cooler for a reason.

"He broke his arm? Sucks" she said, sighing. "That's good. That they.. They still like each other. Th-they should get back togther, then, huh?" she said, feeling kind of bittersweet about it. She coulnd't help it, but.. When she'd heard about the news of the break-up, she coulnd't help but wish to get a chance with Ashton.

God, why was she even thinking about this? She had a boyfriend. And Ashton was in love with Cat.

"He can't be mad, because its emotionally impossible for him to be mad at someone openly. Or even closed, it all relates back to /his/ childhood, you'd have to know that, to know /him/"Antony said frowning. "Maybe, I don't even know what he's singing so who know's what he will sing there, or what mood he will be in by then. It will all just, go on. I think they do, or, thats what I got the other day when she came over and talked with us some. Or, more watched the drama going on at the house."Antony said noticing her bitter sweet tone. "I don't know, it just, depends on what they do, maybe Cat is over him, maybe she's moving on, and as soon as she does, Ashton will. He won't stay stuck on a lost battle. He'll move on to bigger and better things."Anthony said brushing his hair to the side. It was true, Ashton would move on just as fast as someone else would.

Bigger and better things?

"Like me?" she blurted out with an innocent tone, before putting her hand over her face, groaning. "Ahhh.. What the hell? I'm sorry, forget I ever said that." she said, shaking her head. "This is just a tiny little crush, maybe not even and I will get over it as quickly as I started having it." she running a hand through her hair nervously.

She glanced over at Anthony, smiling. "You don't mind that I'm acting like such a girl, right?" she said, chuckling softly. "'Cause like, I have no best friends and well, Oli's only advice is go out and meet a guy, even though she /knows/ I have a boyfriend. Which makes this thing even weirder, 'cause I shoulnd't have a crush when I'm dating someone, someone I care about and like, ahh.." she said quickly, taking another drag out of her cigarette.

"This calms me." she explained, glancing over at Anthony.

"Yeah, it could happen."Anthony said laughing. "Its fine, I won't tell anyone. I'm in your postion, sort of. Minus the drama and all."Anthony said laughing. He nodded as she said the whole crush part then laughed again. "I don't mind I'm fine with it. Though, again, don't expect Ashton to ever be sad, mad, or anything for long. It won't happen."Anthony said. "And if it does, he wont show it. I'll put on that face that all 'I can do it.' puff out his chest lift his head up and troop on. I blame his parents."Anthony said laughing "Ah, I'll be your best friend then. And I don't blame you, Ophe's advice scares me some."Antony said laughing again. "Well then, maybe its just destiny or something? Who knows."Anthony replied shrugging. "Yeah, whats calming for me is a walk, or just talking. I'm tired of playing this hide and seek game with Ashton, I keep trying, but its impossible because, as our grandfather use to say. Ashton couldn't be caught by a search dog if he didn't want to be found. No one can catch the boy."Anthony murmered. "For, he /is/ elegance at its best." He added, a qoute from his grandmother.

"With Zanna?" she as he said he was in her position. She chuckled softly as Anthony explained how Ashton acted, swinging slowly. "Ophe's... odd about many things." she said, "Destiny?"

The girl wondered about destiny sometimes. She wasn't sure if she believed in it, she knew Ophelia did, but her? Maybe. Though, she wasn't the kind to read her horoscope everyday and believe it would come true - unlike Ophe.

"What d you think I should do?" she said, even though she already had a clue on what she would do. She would try and forget about Ashton and try to go out with Jake more than usual. It wasn't her fault he was gone on vacation.

"Yeah."He said nodding. "She really is. Yes destiny. Everything is planned out and happens for a reason."I don't know what you should do. Go about your day like normal. Watch around for Ashton and any sign that he is over Cat, and if you don't get that sign, and you see him hanging out with her, then just forget him, I know he's my brother cousin, whatever, but he isn't worth your time."Antony said putting it as blunt as he could about his cousin. About his 'brother'. "Especially if we get signed, who knows what will happen if we get signed, we could go on tour, we might not, again, we'll just have to let Destiny choose are course and hope for the better."Ant said shrugging and starting to swing.

"'Kay. I will." she said, nodding. "And if I'm blind and can't see the sign, if you catch it, you'll tell me, okay?" she added, not wanting to stay in the dark. She put on an odd look as he said Ashton wasn't worth it. She raised a brow, smiling softly.

"Well.. That was blunt." she said, slightly surprised he'd said that.

She gapsed softly as he mentionned getting signed. She knew that was what they were hoping for, but she hadn't really thought about what would happen if they ever did. The thought hadn't crossed her mind. "Oh.. That's right." she said softly, "Are you guys.. Like, didja meet with some people?" she said, wondering if they'd send their demos or something. Y'know the stuff that bands did.
