Ophelia was walking through the park, having just walked out of Macy's. The store seemed magical at Christmas time. The holiday songs playing constantly, she managed to get one stuck in her head.
"Sleigh bells ring, are you listening, in the lane, snow is glistening..." she girl sung softly, stuck in her own little world.
Snow was falling and she was dressed for it. A warm, knit white hat was on top of her head, a brown knit flower stuck on the side. She covered her clothes with her winter coat, an old vinage find of Olivia.
Ophelia felt warm and cozy in the long brown trench, cinched at the waist with a white belt. Fingerless gloves were on her hands, which she kept in her pockets. Fingerless gloves were fun, but not very warm. Black skinny jeans hugged her legs, slightly covered by her knee high boots. The boots were brown, with some slight faux-fur over it, tied with faux-suede cords.
She walked around, getting lost in her thoughts. "A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight, walking in a winter wonderland..." she sung, letting herself break out in a small, happy dance. She twirled around laughing, jumping on the path.

Elbows propped atop the back of one of the benches within Central Park, Eric had a casual look about him, light blue hued gaze flitting from one random person to the next as they strolled through the place. There weren't many of them, being as the day had shifted to evening, and the air around them was gradually getting colder. Most people were hidden within their homes, bundled up in front of the fireplace with a mug of hot chocolate in their hands. That didn't seem half bad at the moment, but he'd rather not be in the company of his family for a while. He'd been around them all day, and it had been starting to get boring, and that was the reason he'd taken a walk, and ended up here. He'd only been sitting there for the past fifteen minutes, thinking about nothing in particular really.
Soft singing drifted to his ears, and he recognized it as being one of the more known Christmas songs. The person singing it didn't sound half-bad either. Not bad at all. Lifting his head, he looked for the source, spotting a twirling individual in the near distance. A small smile played about his lips, but only because he knew who it was. Ophelia. He'd met her at the ice rink the previous day. It had been...fun really, even though he wouldn't admit it. There was no chance in hell that he would. Especially since they'd done the skating chain...
When the girl was close enough to where he was, he said, "Hey," figuring a bit of company would do him so good, and since she was nice, it was all the better. Faded blue jeans sat on his lower torso, and a thick ash-grey tee shirt partially hidden beneath a beneath an old but still new-looking school track jacket in the color black, was upon his upper body. It was comfortable, and just right for a walk.
Ooc:||Heh, sucky, but I joined!

Gone away is the bluebird, here to stay is a new bird, He sings a lo--" Olivia stopped in mid-song as she heard someone say 'hey'. She turned on her heel, bright grey eys wondering who it could be. After all, she didn't know many people so far.
The girl grinned as she realized who it was and ran over to Eric. "Eriiiic!" she shouted excitedly, going over and hugging the boy.
Talk about over-affectionate.
She let go and smiled, her playful smirk as always. She gave him a once-over, noticing his jacket of course. "I like your jacket." she said, remembering how her sister owned her boyfriend's. She had none.
"Soo.." she started, before asking "What's up?"

Caught off guard by her hug and excitable greeting, Eric didn't react to her embrace soon enough, and she'd therefore pulled away already. "Well hello to you too," he smirked, just then patting the space on the bench next to him. "Have a seat," he invited, being as if she wanted to. She had seemed content with bouncing about the sidewalk though. Although he didn't know this chick too well, he already knew she had a terribly bubbly personality. That wasn't a bad thing at all though. It made her a more fun individual to be around.
"This old thing? Thanks," he smiled. "I used to run track at school. Quit junior year though," he informed, though didn't go into the specifics. He'd just felt like adding that random fact though. "Nothing much is up really. Just chilling until I feel the need to go home. And yourself. What bring's you out here?" he asked her, flipping the question around at her.

"Sure." she told him sitting down. She brought her knees up, embracing them with arms and faced the boy. She adjusted her hat as the boy explained the jacket's history.
"Track. I had a boyfriend who did that once." she mentionned, although it was pointless.
She smiled as he asked her why she was here, and looked up, as if thinking up an answer. "Hmm.. I dunno. I guess I wanted to go out. Besides, seeing the snow fall just attracted me outside." she said with a light giggle. "I love the snow. Aaaaaand..." she said, before adding one last thing. "I just walked around the whole Macy's store, so I needed fresh air."

Merely nodding at the information that one of her ex-boyfriends had ran track too, he stretched out his feet in front of him, arms currently crossed over his chest. "You only walked around it? Didn't buy anything?" he asked, thinking that strange for a chick in New York City. Even his sister didn't just walk around a store and not buy anything. But then again, she frequented book stores, and only when she wanted or needed something from within.
Brushing away a bit of snow which had accumulated on the forearm of his jacket, he returned his gaze to Ophelia. "So was it your entire family who moved back here?" he asked, only slightly curious. All he'd gotten at the ice rink was that she'd moved back. He didn't even know from where but it wasn't exactly important.

"Yup." she said, knowing how strange it sounded. Girls were suppose to shop, shop, shop. And she did like shopping, but.. She was kind of broke right now. "I like looking at the stuff.. Can't always afford it though." she said with a smirk. "And I like seeing the Christmas decorations they put up, it's /so/ pretty."
The girl looked up at the sky, giggling as she felt a snowflake fall on her nose. She brushed it off, looking back at Eric. She kind of half-nodded, heistating for her answer.
"Well, kinda. Ish." she said, chuckling as she knew that made no sense. "I moved back with my sister. My dad's in Florida and well, he left us his condo." she said, mentally thanking her dad for that. Even though Olivia and him weren't on good terms, her sister had agreed to move into "that asshole's home". Ophelia had only rolled her eyes, knowing it was better than renting a low-class appartment. This condo was actually nice.
Ophelia looked around, cocking a brow. She'd managed to hide Clo in her knapsack during her walk through Macy's getting caught once, only to run away to another floor. Coming here, she'd elt the pup run free.
Where was she now?
The girl knew she coulnd't be far, the dog never ran off. She let out some small, quick whistles, calling her baby.

"Oh okay," Eric murmured, thinking that made much sense. He'd almost forgotten that not everyone was as affluent as his family was. His dad had gotten lucky, but through business smarts had managed to stay on top and increase his bank account. So obviously Eric and Alexis had never gone without what they needed or wanted. "Right. I've never really wandered through a store just to look at the Christmas decorations," he admitted, a small smirk tilting the corner of his lips. As far as he was concerned, stores were made for shopping, not for viewing the decorations. That and the fact that he didn't shop much, unless he was buying for a girlfriend or someone who was extremely close to him. "I've never been in Macy*s either come to think of it," he murmured, palms planted on either side of him atop the bench.
"Ahh. I have a sister too," he informed, just throwing in a random fact once again. Lucky him he only had one sibling though, because he wasn't exactly sure how he'd have coped with two or more sisters. Lord knew they had too many mood swings, and their moods were hard to decipher. "How old is your sister?" he asked, sliding her a sidelong glance.
Hearing her whistles, Eric deduced that she had a dog. One didn't call for a cat in that manner. At least not in his experience. "What kind of dog you have?" There was at least one thing his sister and him had in common -- their love for animals. Well, all but their mother's trio. But that was another story...

She smirked back, casually adding "Maybe you should. hey only pop up once a year.." she said, reffering on how short they lasted. Christmas came in a hurry and left, leaving the stores plain and un-festive. "Really?" she said, eyebrows raised. Macy*s was /the/ biggest store of New York, maybe not the hippest, but everyone had been in it once. Well, not everyone it seems. She smiled as he mentionned he had a sister too, immeditaly answering his question. "She's 19. Umm, we're twins." she said, a playful smirk on her lips. "So if you see me wlaking around - but with brown hair - then you've met Olivia." Ophelia loved having a twin sister, even though if they didn't always get along. But that was normal. Those two girls had a bond, a connection, it was freaky sometimes. Especially when they finished each other's sentences. "I... I dunno." she said, shrugging as he asked what kind of dog she had. Her dog was weird and most people didn't find her very cute. But Clo was unique. "I found her last year in Cali, just roamin' around.." she said, her hands resting on the bench. "She's.. Pretty funny looking." As soon as she finished saying that, Clover appeared. The dog was wearing a knit black sweater for dogs with a white star stitched on top. Ophelia thought dogs were clothing were weird, but outside with this snow, and the dog's nude back, Clo /needed/ a sweater. She came walking daintily by and stopped in front of both. The dog's beady eyes looked at Eric as she sat down, staying still. ooc: This is Clo. o:

"Maybe," Eric chuckled, not so sure about that though. At her surprised tone of him never been to Macy*s, he merely shrugged, not thinking it was a big deal. So what if he hadn't been in the World's largest store? People in the Caribbean and the like, had never been there, so he wasn't alone. "Hey. Maybe I've been there when I was a kid or something. Ya know. The parents having taken me or something. I surely don't remember much things from my childhood though. Well, when it involves a store," he smirked. "But I guess my reason for having not been there is because I'm more of an online shopper. I don't like standing in long lines," he murmured. "But maybe I'll go there at least once during these Holidays, since you proclaim their decorations as being worth looking at." He smiled, switching to look at passerbys as he had been before her arrival.
Chuckling lightly, he nodded. "Ohh. A twin. That's cool. I don't think I'd like having a look-a-like of myself prancing around. I'm enough as me alone. Imagine two?" Right. The world would never be the same.
At her saying she didn't know what breed of dog she had, he rose a brow. And then when she explained, a look of understanding passed over his face. "Gotcha," he said, lightly quirking a brow when the dog appeared. Frankly, dog clothing was ridiculous in his eye. Even worse was when people carried them around in purses like they were a damn fashion statement. He didn't say nothing though, just watched as the dog took a seat before them. "What's her name?" he questioned, leaning down to pet the dog. "I have one. A silver sable colored german shepherd," he murmured, lightly scratching behind the pup's ears. "His name is Kid. My little cousin dubbed him kid and he wouldn't answer to anything else. Sadly enough."

"Long lines are boring.." she said, agreeing. She laughed as she said, "That's why I always start singing while I wait!" Heh. She not only did that, but she also received many odd stares. A mean, a random blonde singing 'SexyBack' while buying groceries? An odd sight indeed. The dog looked at boy, as if thinking. Clo was a pretty odd dog, just like her owner I guess. The dog got up and walked over to him. Raising up on her hind legs, she rested her fornt paws on the bench, smelling the boy.
This acion only made the girl giggle, before saying "You ge used to it. Having a twin, I mean. Besides, we're like.. So different, that we don't even seem like twins anyways. Like, first of all, she's a brunette. And then we dress like totally different, so it's all good." she told him, grinning.
As he asked the dog's name, she replied "Clover. Clo for short." she smiled as she heard he had a dog too. "Awhh. He sounds cute." she told him, before looking over at her own dog. "That sweater looks so cheesy.." she said, chuckling. "She must hate it."
But then again, she knew the dog would freeze to death it nothing was covering her. After all, with that nude back. "But she's hairless as you can see, so.."

Chuckling lightly, Eric shook his head. "If I sung whilst I waited, they'd kick me out the store. My vocals suck," he smirked, crossing his arms over his chest. "You'd like Kid huhn," he murmured to the dog when it started smelling him. He chuckled again, scratching behind both its ears before picking it up, settling the pup atop his legs. "Your dog's...well, my sister would say she's cute, and my mom would say she's fugly," he laughed. "I'd go with my sister on this one though." He and his mom...they were like oil and water on most days.
"Mmm, that's cool. Hope I get to meet her someday then," he shrugged. If he did, he did. And if he didn't, he didn't. "Clover? She lucky to you?" he asked, wondering if the dog's name was symbolic to the owner. Who knew. Smirking lightly, he said, "I hate when people dress their dogs in clothes. And even worse when they expect them to be fashion statements. Like Paris and Tinkerbell. Or Hillary Duff and her mutt. Anyway, not important."
Keeping Clo in his arms, he crossed his feet at the ankles, looking over at Olivia. "You have a good voice," he said suddenly. "You in Choir or something? At school?" Beat him as to how old the chick was.

"Maybe you just need a little practice.." she said about his singing. Ophelia thought everyone could sing. "Or a duet partner!" she said, laughing.
"Olivia thinks she's from another planet.." she said, chuckling softly. She smiled when he picked Clo up. The dog panted happily, wagging her tail. She loved the attention.
Dogs are like thier owners, right?
"Lucky?" she said, thinking about it. "I dunno.. I mean, I was lucky to find her. I found on the beach's boardwalk.. But she's a been a good partner for scoping out cute boys." she said, laughing. "Nah.. I mean. I dunno. She can always make me smile, I guess I'm lucky for that."
She then smiled as he said her singing was good. "Choir? Not so much. They thought I was a bit too rock n' roll for them back in high school.." she said, mentioning school was over for her. "But I did join a band a few days ago!" she said excitedly. "I haven't done a show yet.. But it's been good so far."
