Although some would disagree, but what was more peaceful then a nice skate, with the freshness of cold weather, and aroma of pine. Clanking of the blades when they stroked the ice, as if walking on water. Wait..That practically would be walking on water right? Duh. Megan liked it, no matter what everyone else said. Falling on your butt sometimes wasn't that bad. Just think of the pluses that came with outside activities. He thoughts were worthless though, when they escaped her mind was when people would listen. She was optimistic and always had implusive actions. Sliding off her cozy size six, tan ugg boots, she grabbed her figure skates. After tying them tightly, she hid her boots out of reach of anyone, the same with her purse although there was nothing really in there she held her money in her pockets.
Her wardobe was well adjusted with the weather and ice skating. A silver chain held a pink diamonded heart, with the words Dior on the connecter, dangling wildly around her neck as she released herself from the bench. Covering her small torso tightly was a tye-dye tank top, with the word Roxy across the breasts, reaching just below her waist. Clinging loosely to it was a half zipped white, Hollister sweatshirt, with a furlined hoodie. Hugging her size zero leg was ripped and destroyed jeans, covering her figure skates to the foot part. Her hair laid loosely curled past her shoulders.
She began on the ice, wobbling at first. It was alright though she wasn't here to impress anyone. Laughing everytime she lost her balance.

Better than the park? Most certainly not, but close enough, and it added a tad bit of fun. Alone though, at an ice rink? It was shameful enough, but Cameron still drove himself on over to, yes, skate a bit. Well, when he had first drove himself down to the cool-aired building, he had just come for a sitting and maybe a cup of cocoa, but the ice, from where he was sitting, looked inviting, therefore, Cameron was now paying a total of $5 to rent a pair of skates. Why was everything in New York so god damned expensive? Cameron thanked the employee behind the counter after taking the size twelve skates into hand, and made his way to an empty bench.
He sat down, letting his bottom gently come intact with the firm, cold bench and slipped off his shoes. Slowly but surely, he, one by one, slid on the skates, tightening them and tying them. They fit rather comfortably. Standing to his full height, with added height in cause of the skate blades, Cameron look out over the thick, wet ice. He smiled to himself. It had been a while since had been on the ice, two or three year to be exact, but he wasn’t nervous. He couldn’t be, he was an expert skater, due to the fact that his father had signed him up for hockey when he was just a tike—continuing the sport for a good 5 plus years. Cameron had gone through many sports, almost all, actually. But of course it was every American dad’s dream to see his son excel at every sport, and, well, Cameron tried.
Now, onward to the ice. Coming to the frame-way to an opening onto the ice, Cameron grasped its content and stepped onto it slowly. Letting go, he slid mid-way to the center of the ice, stopping himself abruptly with a spray of some ice. Some may say he was showing off, heh, he wouldn’t argue. For who though? No one, really, he didn’t need that cheesy support from himself. He let his eyes scan the others who glided past him, watched a few fall, and eyeballed the ones who clung to the wall as if letting go would only lead them to death. He smiled lightly at the sightings, breathing in deeply and beginning his glide once again.

Taking study breaths, she pushed herself on the ice which echoed in a clank of blades. Laughing once more as she stopped at the center piece of the ice rink; the large Christmas style tree. It's scent was lovely, as she got a big wiff of it with her quick stop. Okay she was a dork just standing around the tree but so what. Tucking a few strands of hair that blew itno her face annoyingly; behind her ears.
She thought too much. What if the tree fell ontop of the ice rink. What would they do? Better yet, what if it landed on the skaters below it. A bad wind storm,...ah it could happen. Her figure skates were slightly dusted when she found them at home, mainly because she hadn't done it since she was eight. Her and her father would go out every Friday, just to skate. The fun days of course. When she was actually excited to skate.Besides she had her dad there to make sure she wouldn't fall hardly on her ass. Probably damaging her tail bone.
She hummed softly to one of her favorite tunes. Skating once more she observed the now arriving people. She picked a selected few and kept her eyes somewhat on them. One was a tall sleek girl, looking as if model material. Another a tall guy, dark haired, and attractive.[refering to Cameron] Although looks weren't everything.

Making circles around the rink and leaving small trails from his blades, Cameron continued his studying of the people around him. One girl in particular had caught his eye. It was natural though, many girls did. He smiled as she laughed to herself and sauntered up to the fresh tree that marked the center of the ice. He watched her movements for a bit, smiling as he did, but continued on with his skating. He then looked away; glancing down at the black skates on his feet and let his eyes trail up his dark-wash, jean-covered legs absent-mindedly. He sped up, loving the feel of the cool air whipping his face with a piercing sting. Due to the coldness, Cameron’s hands made their way into his black and white Abercrombie hoodie pockets.
Another full circle around the rink was made, followed up by a light glide towards the tree...and the girl. He thought he could make a friend; after all, she looked to be alone as he was. Someone already accompanied most of the other women around anyways. Earlier, Cameron had noticed the blonde breathing in, what seemed to be, the scent of the large pine tree before her, and now, him. Yes, he skated right up on next to her, letting his hands fall from the pockets of the jacket and connect behind his back as he stared up at the large pine, admiringly.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” he asked her, keeping a set gaze on the object, a light smile present.

"Gorgeous more like" she responded, out of reaction, not even seeing the guy who had said it. Finally taking the gaze off the tree she smiled softly. It was one of her selected few. New friends were always fun right? Of course where would Megan's life be without friends. Escaping her thoughts, she smirked as she almost fell when she moved. To be honest, after years of actually not skating she had became horrible at it. Shakingher head at herself she stood at her height, without slouching. "I'm Megan" she introduced, holding out a long, sleek arm with a small, lotioned hand.
Seeing him up close, was even better. He had thee most gorgeous eyes, a nice muscular structure. Well atleast it looked muscular. A well defined jawline. Manly eyebrows. And the most important. Tall at height. Sure she had put alittle too much thought into the whole appearance thing, but she was observant.
What was next, casual conversation..maybe exchanging numbers. She couldn't help thinking of all these possible things. She was quite interested in knowing him though. "Skate often?" she questioned, it was the only thing she could think of that didn't seem too interested. It wasn't like she was hitting on him. Just merely in search of some friends.

Once he felt her eyes upon him, he turned to face her, the smile still present. “It is nice to meet you, Megan. I’m Cameron.” He introduced himself, accepting her introduction with a shake of her hand after he disconnected his own. He glanced her over, being the kind of guy he was; a normal one. He almost did it out of habit, well, basically he had. He was sure it wasn’t too noticeable though, but, even if it was it shouldn’t matter, he was only having his way with his eyes. It wasn’t as if he was touching her or anything. He liked what he saw though. She was attractive, beautiful at that, and she seemed witty, maybe smart...he wasn’t so sure yet, he’d have to get to know her first, it was only natural.
Her fall, or, almost fall was scheduled right from the start. He knew it was going to come by the way she moved. He laughed lightly, in reaction, holding out his arm for her to grab just in case. But, she didn’t fall so therefore, he crossed his arms over his chest with a light smirk after another chuckle.
‘Skate often?’ Hell yeah. Well, recently? No. “Um, I used to all the time, when I was younger. It has been a couple of years now though.” He stated, thinking back a few years and some number before that also. He had the look on his face as if he was lost in thought, and yes, he was. It happened often, he hated it really, but...it happened and there was no denying it.

Watching him stick out his arm to catch her as she almost fell, made her giggle abit. "Don't worry, I fall alot..I haven't skated since I was Eight.." she smiled; it was true. She did suck. No doubt about it. "Nice to meet you Cameron" she said; slowly saying his name. It was just a habit. Pushing some loose strands of hair from her face she sighed. "Damn wind." she muttered but not realizing. She rarely cussed outloud; usually only in her head. Although she was quick-witted and such she usually kept her odd thoughts to herself. She held her tounge in hopes she didn't hurt someones feelings. Even though at times she had implusive thoughts that spoke for themselves. Like one time at a family get-together. Her brother's girlfriend was a complete whore, and she as a girl could tell. When out came a blunt comment, the girl was awkward with Megan the rest of the day. Of course her brother was pissed off too.
"It truely is fun though, Seemed easier when my day was holding me up though" she explained with a few laughs inbetween. She examined the guy alittle more hoping that he wouldn't notice. It seemed as if she was seducing him with her Light Green eyes. Although, she got enjoyment out of it. "So Cameron" she said; with a pause searching for the right words. "What do you do, like in job-wise" she questioned; it wasn't too personal was it?

Cameron enjoyed the small giggles Megan continued to give off. She was cute. Simple as that. He gave a gentle nod of his head after she appreciated the greeting as he did. Hmm, manors. It all kept adding up, her many good qualities that is. His eyes feel onto hers just then, taking in the hue they gave off. A classic brown-eyed girl. It was a common eye color, but they were pretty either way. And her hair, it was lovely also. He thought it similar to Catheryn’s, the girl he had met at the park. He had a thing for blondes, obviously. It wasn’t a bad thing though; as long as they weren’t the typical ‘dumb blondes’ that everyone expected all of them to be. They were simply judge harshly, in a manor that Cameron thought wrong, but these were his personal thoughts, one’s most people would careless to hear about.
He laughed at her next comment, the one involving her dad. He smiled widely, a nodding of his head going too. “Yeah, everything is usually easier with some help, though it can all be good fun too.” He replied, the grin still present as he summed up his words, engaging greatly in conversation with no trouble. Hmm, they had passed the ‘awkward’ stage. It usually took more time than that. It was great, really. Cameron wasn’t really one to open up to many people. But one you knew the kid, some would say you were ‘stuck’. He’d give you hell if he wanted to, but he could be so sweet. He may also have been a little rough around the edges, but you’d find it all just fun in the end, if you /really/ knew him that is.
Job-wise. What did he do? Psh, sat on his ass all day, finding time to do things like this. “Currently? Nothing. I choose not to work right now, though. I plan on going to college one the semester starts up, but who knows, life may take me in a different direction.” He answered her question, following it up with a shrug and letting his eyes fall to get a glimpse of his skates once again. His eyes then were moved to her own skates, examining their color and whatnot before letting the green-blue hued bulbs fall back onto her own eyes.
‘What about you, miss Megan?” he asked, interested in getting to know the girl. Who knew, she may be worth getting to know.

Every once in a while she'd notice her eyes glancing at his, although it seemed the same for him. She was kind of embarassed by her job actually, everyone in New York was a model; which didn't make her any different. The sad truth was she didn't enjoy doing it, it first started when she was put into a beauty contest by her mother and won. Although never knwoing it'd lead to a full career. Yeah it had a great sallary. It just wasn't her. It didn't give her personality any justice. "Well I know it sounds pathetic, considering everyone is one now-a-days, but I model part time." she said; with a sigh. "Although it merely reaches what I want to do with my life." she explained; although unsure of why she was even telling him this. He was a cool guy though, he seemed well-put and down to earth.
Smiling softly she thought of what she'd explain next. "Yesterday, I applied for a job in teaching kindergarden, I took a semster in college for teaching" she said; with varities of hand gestures. She slowly spinned on her skates trying to perfect it, even though she looked as if walking more then skating. She was still proud of herself though. Blowing a strand of side bangs from her face, out of habit.

Oh, another model. He smirked at her words, understanding her pain and justice. Everyone couldn’t have his or her way all the time. If they did, they were spoiled to an absurd extent and they didn’t deserve living, well, in Cameron’s opinion. “Ah, the modeling business is fine. It has its ups and downs. Sure, not every model /enjoys/ what they do, but the job has its advantages.” Cameron started, feeling as if he were about to give a lecture. “On the plus side, it pays great, as you stated, and most likely it means you are either, beautiful, sexy, or talented. Maybe even all three. You definitely have the potential to withstand all the bullshit that you models receive.” He finished, speaking as himself, for once. It actually felt...good. He freely spoke his words, not even realizing the ‘vulgar’ words he may have slipped into his ‘lecture’. He smiled widely at her, but soon, the smile faded. She was gorgeous, but he couldn’t be falling for her already, could he? He had just recently stated that he didn’t fall for just any girl, and that he actually /preferred/ being single. He told himself that the only way he’d get into a relationship was if some girl caught his eye in a ‘perfected’ way, every way. Was she /the/ girl? She couldn’t be.
His thoughts were lost. He was caught up in all the tranquility of the moment. He smiled, looking down upon her. For a briefly moment it was like he was floating, but he snapped back into reality once realizing what he was doing. “Teaching? That is great. Good for you.” He told her, excited almost as much as she was. He was truly excited for her, and at the same time embarrassed for she had already been to college and was, assumingly, younger than he was. He watched her do her version of a ‘spin’, smiling at her movments and watching the way she turned her feet. She was definitely cute, she had it, well, she was sweet, cute, seemingly smart and, well...she just had it. He wasn’t going to get in too deep just yet. We all knew how this worked. Someone was always crushed in the end.

Okay, so she wasn't all that perfect at skating, sue her. Still she wasn't here to impress. Sure she was in the presence of a cute guy. That didn't mean she had to be something she wasn't. She was Megan Jerone, probably the girl that was friends with all the guys and some girls. She hung out with guys, mainly because she fit in with them more. She wasn't a tom-boy, quite far from it actually. Modeling wasn't her dream, it never was. When she modeled she was good at it, but she didn't think or refer to it as a passion. Her real passion was teaching, and art. Any kind of art. Musical art, which is why she played the guitar so well, and painting drawing art. She wasn't half bad at that either. Either way her mind was just rambling on. It was time to actually get her head out of the thought process.
"My actual passion would be art..like music and painting, but I had to go with my first options" she explained with many hand gesture. What could she say? She spoke with her hands. "I only did a year of college right out of highschool. I plan on going back too" she stated, with a soft smirk. Maybe she'd get some classes with him, who knows. School time wasn't here, so she could wait on the thoughts. He was completely charming, no doubt about it. The way he acted interested in anything she had to say. She wasn't the big one on relationships but this one she'd oddly consider. Even though she was thinking way too much ahead. "Awe you think I'm beautiful" she said as a tease, but he did say it. Unless he was just trying to make her feel good. Who knew with boys these days.

Oh college, it and its many wonders. Cameron hated the thought. He was so happy to finally get out of high school that he had decided to wait a year before going to college. It was a horrible idea. The thought of college, now, made Cameron cringe. It was as if he had adjusted fully to the year without school, which he probably had done. He hated himself for his decision, but it was done and he couldn’t change it, though he was going to try and push himself to get into the college life once the new semester started up. He would probably decided on a community college, finding no interest in leaving the state, or the environment in which he lived to attend some university. Besides, the community college cost less and he was sure his dad could use the money for something more important, though his father would probably argue with that case.
Every word. Every single word she spoke he understood to a great extent. He’d been through the whole ‘modeling’ stuff, though he had gotten out of it before it became too much. The same went for his sister. He couldn’t remember why the two had even done it; it was probably their mother, though she didn’t seem the type who would put them through that. And yes, from time to time they’d get a call to come down to a studio for ‘just a few shoots’. Cameron rejected the offer, but sometimes Kerstin made the effort, having nothing better to do really. “Yes, truthfully, you are beautiful. In the inside and out.” He stated, flirting as some may call it, though it really was the truth. You couldn’t deny being in the presence of a beautiful girl.

As he stated she was clearly beautiful, she smiled slightly. Although the comments made her feel full of herself for some odd reason, not meaning it wasn't flattering. It actually made her feel somewhat good. Flirting wasn't all that bad right? "Thank you" she said; with alittle red tint coming to her cheeks. That was called blushing. Awe cute. Did she have slightly a crush on this guy that she had just met? Possibly. "You're handsome I must admit" she said; returning the compliment but actually meaning it. She tilted her head slightly. Was he interested in her? Well it seemed as if he did alittle bit.
Skating around him slowly she thought of somethign to say. Her hair bounced along her mid back cheerfully. Although, not doubting his personality. But he could be just another asshole in the crowd. Even though he didn't seem out to be a prick. Maybe she was falling for him.

Handsome. Hmm, that was a new one. Yeah, he was sued to the put downs from the only woman in his life--s sister. Ass, dumb ass, smart-ass, dick, dickweed, fag...the list went on. Sure, he loved his sister, but really, no one deserved that, even if he may have used some harsh words to ‘describe’ her also. “Why, thank you miss.” He stated, a grin topping his lips, trying to pull off the ‘southern gentleman’ though he knew he wasn’t the least bit close to perfection. He noticed the light red coloring that swept over her cheeks, though he was not sure as to whether she was blushing or it was just the cold whether playing affect on her skin. Either way, the coloring brought out her /green/ eyes.
Cameron watched her for a moment as she began circling him. Was this some sort of test? He smirked, stopping the gaze that had been taken over by his eyes and facing forwards, as if to resemble a recruit going into the Army. His face became straight; he stood a perfect posture, puffed out his chest, and kept his view straightforward. He tried his best to refrain from laughing, though found it hard. Yes, he may have been acting childish, maybe even foolish, but he didn’t care all that much. He wasn’t the kind of guy who felt he needed to impress a girl for her to like him.

Laughing at his childish sense of humor she ended it with a slight smirk. Yes at times she was childish also, but wasn't that a good thing, to act as if you adore yourself. Of course Megan didn't adore herself. She found herself merely annoying . Oh well. It was her personality. Plus she doesn't have time to impress anyone or sugar-coat herself. She had a career to maintain. Of course she had time to interact with people. Maybe even a boyfriend, but she wasn't the type to make herself seem more appealing.
Blowing on her hands she stopped skating. It was getting pretty chilly out. She should have bundled herself more fully. Plus, appearance or first impression wasn't that important. "Well aren't you just the little army man." she laughed pretending to inspect him some more.
