Strolling alongside Olivia en route to the Cafe, Chris had a nice hold on one of Kendra's hands. The little girl's other palm was planted within Olivia's, as she walked in between them. Seems the girl had taken quite the liking to Olivia in that short time, and Chris was left to wonder just what exactly Kendra saw. Kids were usually a surprisingly good judge of character, and his niece was quite vocal about liking or disliking someone. However, she hadn't told him yet why she fancied Oli. Oh well, he'd find out soon enough, he figured.
Still dressed in what he'd been wearing a couple hours earlier, he hadn't the time or the want to go home and change. Plus, there was nothing wrong with his current attire -- they were only going to enjoy a cup of coffee. "So, did the rest of your day go by smoothly?" he asked Olivia, breaking into a bit of casual conversation. Heh, maybe she'd had to deal with some screaming tykes or some moody parents. It wasn't so farfetched, as although this time of year was supposed to be festive and jolly, lots of people tended to be scrooges as well.
Arriving at the Cafe moments later, he opened the door for her to enter first, being quite the gentleman -- he always was. It wasn't because the girl was completely special or something. Maybe eventually, she could be. Life threw out surprises daily, as who would have ever thought he'd be friends with Mercedes? Anyway.
"Uncle Cwiss. Is she your girlfwend?" Kendra asked innocently, removing her thirdy candy cane of the day from her lips. Like she'd get cavities...pfft. "And can I have some hot chocolate?" Muahahaha. Too bad if he expected to sleep tonight, as she'd be a little ball of energy, bouncing off walls and shit like that. Chyeah. And maybe pretend to be sleeping, wait until he did, then come jump on his bed so as to wake him up. Hey, it was his fault she'd be awake most of the night, so he better keep her company. Muaha. She looked up at him angelically.

Olivia squeezed the girl's hand, smiling at her. Unlike them, she'd changed. Duh. She was wearing her favorite dark blue skinny jeans, tucked into some knee-high, high-heeled, black faux-leather boots. A gifts from her sister, heh. Up on her torso was a fitted, black hoodie, zipped up halfway to reveal a lacy white cami underneath. On top of that was the girl's coat, a short, black peacoat. Her hair fell down, loose and wavy and her eyes were lined with black eyeliner, making the green color in them 'pop'.
"It was good. I met your friend.. Uhm, Mercedes? She was cool." she said, "We got a few crazy kids, but all was kept under control." she said with a light laugh. "Oh, by the way, I've got a surprise for you.." she said, looking down at Kendra, since it was directed to her.
As they went in, she smirked at Kendra's question. She was happy she hadn't asked it to her, since knowing herself, she would've been akward and odd about it. Fumbling with her words like earlier.

"Yeah, she is cool," Chris smiled a bit. And the girl was, if you looked pass the fact that she was a spoilt brat at times. "And that's good. Would have hated to hear you got your hair pulled by an angry kid who doesn't believe in Santa," he smirked. Some parents tried to push their kids on the big guy, hoping they'd believe in him...but it didn't always work that way.
Lightly clearing his throat at Kendra's question, Chris glanced from Olivia and down to his niece. "Uh, no," he smirked. "But she's soon to be a friend, who is a girl." Ruffling the kid's raven locks, at least the bit exposed by her warm cap, he walked them towards the counter. "What you want?" he asked Oli, obviously intending to pay for it. He invited her, he should pay. It was only right, and even if he hadn't, he probably would.
"You do?" Kendra asked, looking up to Olivia with big, adoring eyes, which were framed by long lashes. "What is it?" she continued her line of questioning, sticking close to the girl as her uncle got them their drinks of choice.

She laughed softly at the 'anrgy kid' comment. "It happens sometimes.." she said, letting him know the job wasn't as easy as it sounded. When she'd joined it at first, she was sure it would a piece of cake. "Kids.. And parents, can get pretty crazy around the holidays." she said, smirking. She girl's eyebrow raised as he asked what she wanted. She wasn't sure if he was going to pay or not, therefore she didn't want to order the most expensive thing on the menu. Although, coffee coulnd't be very expensive. "Hmm." she said, biting her lower lip, thinking. She had her hands in her back pockets, her head tilted to the side. "A hot chocolate." she finally said, smiling. Yes, hot chocolate. For the child in her.
She girl crouched down to Kendra's height, more or so. She grabbed her handbag, taking out a certain something which had been quickly wrapped in red paper. "Santa gave it to." she said, as she took out two turltle doves and showed them to the young girl. "They're turdle doves." she said, smiling sweetly. "You keep one.. And you give the other to someone special, 'kay?" she said, as she handed the small, ceramic birds to the girl. They were pure white with a golden string attached to each of them, to hang in the tree of course.

"True," Chris chuckled, placing their orders and waiting for the lady behind the counter to place it. He inwardly winced when she spilt the first cup because she'd been staring at him. Sometimes it was difficult being so gorgeous...And no, he wasn't that smug. In his mind, he was completely average, and that was that. "Keep the change," he murmured, thinking she could do with a tip after embarrassing herself as such. Hehe. If he was a mean person, he would have laughed, but there was nothing funny about almost burning yourself then looking like a ripe tomato afterwards. Wow, could that girl blush.
"Okay. Thank you, thank you, thank you! They're beautiful," Kendra grinned, tackle hugging Olivia since they were both now on equal eye level. Kissing the girl on her cheek, she whispered in her ear, "I have a surprise for you too, but I can't tell you yet, or it'll ruin it. You can wait though right?" That was the same thing she'd told Chris a few hours after her visit with the big guy in the red suit, so maybe the little girl was scheming -- no one but her and Santa knew what the surprise was though. Slipping her hand into Olivia's, she followed behind Chris to where they'd be sitting.
Leading Olivia and Kendra to a table in a corner that faced the window, he set their respective drinks in front of them, though curiously watched as Kendra carefully put away the present she'd received. The child would dearly treasure it. "Hmm, so what are your interests?" he asked Oli after a sip from his cup of French Roast. "Surely not dressing up each year to be Santa's helper?"
"Oooh, can you take me to the North Pole to visit you and Santa someday?" Kendra asked, lips slightly parted in a perfect 'o'. "Since you have...connections," she grinned, lightly jabbing Olivia in the side and wiggling her brows. "Promise I'll be good."

The girl grinned as she saw Kendra liked the gift. Santa /had/ actually given them to her, but she thought the little girl would like it more than her. I mean, she liked them, but, yeah.. "Glad you like them." she said, giggling as Kendra hugged her. She raised a brow as the little girl mentionned a surprise, "Really?" she said, "I'll wait." she told her, nodding. She wondered what a little girl like her could prepare. She was really curious about this one. It seemed everyone had surprises for her these days, first Anthony, then Olivia - who was always surprising her - and now Kendra.
She sat down as Chris came back, giving the boy a flirty smile. Woah. Was she really doing this? Yes, it was like her to flirt and everything, but not when she knew she had someone else. Someone else, right. That someone was the last thing on her mind at the moment. She just wanted to have a good time. "My interests?" she repeated, taking a moment to think about it even though it was pretty obvious in her mind. "Dancing." she said, smiling. "I /love/ dancing and not only as a hobby, I plan to make a career one day.." she added, "It's like this different world when I dance, I'm just.. me." she said, not sure if that made any sense, but it was true. That's when she felt most comfortable. "And well, being Santa's Helper isn't that bad.." she added with a smirk, laughing softly "It's free candy canes all day."
She grinned as Kendra asked to be taken to the North Pole. She knew that was impossible, but she do something else. "I actually have never been to the North Pole," she started. "I'm like, Santa's New york elf.." The girl gave a light chuckle, looking back at Kendra. "But you're free to come and see Santa whenever you like at the mall.. He told me he had a good time talkin' to you." she said, grinning. She looked up at Chris with a smirk, "He really did think she was special." she confessed. The girl grabbed her hot chocolate cup and took a long sip of it. Mm. Yum. It was perfect.
