Darcy was in the Tritoni Cafe for what it seemed like the thousandth time. She promised herself that she was going to order something new but she just ended up getting something she normally got.
Today she needed chocolate. She got a chocolate chip thingy. On top of that she got a double chocolate chip cookie. Talk about the calories and the fat. Oh well, she could go the gym and easily burn it off one of these days. She payed for her order then walked over to a cozy couch and sat down.
She picked up the latest issue of Vogue and flipped though it as she balanced the plated that held her cookie on her lap, as she sipped out of her plastic cup in her left hand.
Today she was wearing a white long sleeve knit sweat shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans as always. Her hair fell in simple curls over her cold ears and down to her shoulders.

Quietly, a dark brunette young male made his way into the almost crowded cafe. While standing in the line, he let his gray-blue eyes roam the cafe, not stopping on anyone in particular. Slowly, he moved from the back of the line to the front, and was now able to order. "May I have an Apple Cider?" he ordered, opting not to have caffeine this morning. "And a small cinammon roll if you have one. After having recieved his items, James made he was around the cafe, not seeing any empty seats. Oh darn.
"Excuse me, miss, may I sit here?" he asked, approaching a table with a curly-haired brunette seated at it. She looked nice, friendly, and like she would let him sit down. "All of the other tables are full, and you looked nice. My name is James, by the way," he said, shifting items around until he was able to hold a hand out to her.
Ah yes, playing the nice guy card today. Let's see where it takes him.
That morning, James wore a thin gray t-shirt beneath a white button-up jacket, left unbuttoned of course. His pants were distressed, black, and from Diesel, which was not surprising. Most of his jeans were. He was just another Diesel boy.

Darcy looked up from the article she was reading as James’s started to talk to her. When a hand was offered she set the magazine back down on the coffee table and shook is hand as she said "I wouldn't deny you a seat, sit down."
Darcy scooted over a bit so James could sit down, she didn't know if he would feel comfortable being so close to her when they just meet. "I'm Darcy." she said as she put her empty plate down on the table by the magazine.

"Thanks," James said, taking a seat closely, but not too closely. He didn't want to overwhelm the poor girl, especially at their first meeting. Plus, what if she had someone else? Another guy? And what if she was waiting for him and he showed up and the two were sitting that close? And, let's just suppose that the guy was buff--buffer than James--bad things could happen.
"What'd you have?" he asked, gesturing to the cup on the table as he sipped as his own beverage. Ah. A cookie. She had a cookie--a girl that wasn't afraid to have a little extra calories. He liked that. But, of course, James liked most girls. But this one. She seemed cool.
