Sky-blue hued eyes stared through the glass, seemingly at the little pure white flakes jittering their way downward. In truth, the owner of that blank gaze was lost in thought -- not an unusual occurence actually. There were just too many things going on at once, and then coupled alongside the latest incident with her mother, it was a miracle her head hadn't exploded as of yet. But that'd just be messy, so it was a good thing that a head blowing up on it's own wasn't possible. That random thought caused a small smile to flicker about her lips though, but only for a second, as the mini frown turned the corners of her mouth downward once again.
Interrupted from her thoughts when the waitress appeared, she told the woman with the bubblegum pink hair what she wanted, and then watched her walk off. Nice hair, though Alexis wasn't a big fan of that color. In fact, she despised pink. She just thought it was cool that the lady was bold enough to dye her hair. Lifting her hand to her own hair, she removed the cream colored warm cap from her head, allowing her medium blonde tresses to tumble about her shoulders. Using her fingers, she plucked a nearby curl, moving it in front of her face and examining the color. If she ever changed it, her mother would have a fit. It probably wasn't a bad idea to let the old woman be shocked in shutting up, for once. Too bad she wasn't that mean.
Shrugging out of her coat, she set it beside her on one side of the booth. She was alone this day, having spent most of it shopping for Christmas presents. Now, being quite famished, she'd retired to the Grill, intending to get herself a good lunch. She preferred the place over the other extravagant ones, mainly because it was more cozy and quaint. And she got what she wanted, extra calories and all. Dropping her hobo bag unto the coat, she concealed a yawn, glancing down at her attire as she did. A cream cashmere turtleneck hugged her torso, and dark, semi-snug jeans completed it. All about comfort.
Sighing inwardly, Alex took to people watching as she awaited her food. It was the only interesting thing she could do... Besides going to her vehicle and producing her laptop, but she needed to do something different for a change. Maybe meet someone new?

Anthony stepped into The Grill scanning for anyone he knew. He was rewarded with Alex the gril from the arcade. Smiling he walked over to her. "Hey, how are you.. this cold day?"Antony asked brushing down his brown hair with a hand. He had come in here, with Ashton who was slowly making his way over as he took in everything. His light blue and white hair was combed down letting the longest piece of the hair, the white strand come down to his chin on the right side. His eyes, normally being brown where today a deep bright blue, almost unnatural. It was unnatural, considering the eyes color had changed because of contacts. Anthony pointed to Ashton. "Thats my brother, Ashton."He added. He'd introuduce them later, that was if Alex wanted to do something with the two of them. She might not but hey, there was always a chance. Today Anthony wore a black jacket without a hood, under it a yellow shirt with a rainbow on it with two clouds at each end. It was a tight shirt, as always. On his lower portion were a pair of jeans, black jeans that actually fit him. Keeping the pants up was a bright lime green belt with metal rings in it at once inch intervails. On his feet, were a pair of orange converse, drawn on and worn. His left one had black stick figures drawn on it. On the right one had little squiggles. On the tip, where the show was white the left one had the American flag drawn on it, and the right had the French flag drawn on it. Ashton wore a royal purple shirt, with a lime green cat on it with an over grown head. It was quite cute and he enjoyed this shirt since it was new. Over that was a black hoodie with a rainbow on it, on the front and back with clouds at the end of each. On Ashton's lower half were a pair of girl jeans, skinny girl jeans light in color with strips in the front where the pockets were. The strips were slightly darker than the rest of the pants. The pair of pants was held up with another lime green belt witch was then crossed as another belt went at an angel below it. This one was hot pink in color. On Ashton's feet were a pair of grey, black, and light pink colored Vans.

Glancing upward upon hearing someone speak, Alex settled her gaze on the boy, small smile curving her lips as she did. "Hey," she said, remembering him quite well. They hadn't encountered each other again since that night at the arcade, but who would she be to forget a friendly face? "Besides cold?...I'm fantastic actually," she murmured. Sure her mother had been getting on her nerves earlier, but a nice splurge on Fifth Avenue had cleared her mind quite well. And whomever knew her well, knew it wasn't spent on mostly clothes. However, being Christmas time, she'd spent on buying items for other people actually -- even her mother. "And yourself?" she asked him, thinking it only polite to see how he was doing as well.
Sliding her glance to the boy Anthony pointed out, she inwardly raised her brows. Nice freaking hair. Was she the only one who didn't have the guys to change her hair color? Hmm. "Didn't realize you had a brother...but then again, I haven't known you long. What's his name?" It may seem weird to some that she was being this vocal, but as long as she wasn't conversing with a stranger, she didn't have a problem talking. Well, when it wasn't someone she felt completely awkward around.
"Wanna sit?" she asked, motioning to the opposite side of the booth. No one would be joining her, so a bit of company would be pretty nice.

"Good!"Anthony said smiling. "We're good, about as good as someone can be when its freezeing and nothing is going on."Anthony said slipping into the booth after she asked if they did. "Thank you."Anthony said nodding Ashton slowly made his way in turning with a small smile on his face. "Thanks."He said "Not actually brothers, well, kind of, but not really."Anthony said. "That doesn't make any sense, he's my cousin, but he lives with me, and has since he was thirteen, so we are as close as brothers."Antony added chuckling. "I'm Ashton."Ashton said smiling and laughing as Anthony was about to say it but was beaten out by Ash. "Or Thomas, Tom, Tommy Tom Tom, Ash, whatever you please, I don't mind."Ashton said laughing softly then watching as Antony rubbed his head. "He's a hyper kid, excuse him, please."Anthony said sticking his tongue out at Ash who giggled and propped his head up with one hand.

Giving Anthony a curious, semi-confused stare, Alexis crinkled her nose. 'Huhn?' she thought, not sure what he meant by them being 'kind of brothers'. If it was a 'step' or a 'half', she figured he would have said that from the beginning. Realization dawning on her face, and lips forming a perfect 'o' of understanding when he explained, she nodded a little. "Gotcha," she murmured, small smirk tilting the corner of her lips. "Pleased to meet you," she told Ashton, sticking a currently ungloved hand to him, obviously for him to shake. She'd removed her hands' protection as soon as she had entered the place. "Heh, nothing's wrong with being hyper...as long as no one starts running into walls, falling, then getting back up to do the same thing again." Only in the cartoons did you see something like that...or with a really drunk animal...or human.
Crossing her legs beneath the table, she lightly jiggled the top one, gazing over at the two boys. It was obvious that they got along, which was good. "So...how's life been?" In truth, she'd directed the quesiton to the both of them, wondering if any new, exciting or happy things were occuring in either of their lives.

Ashton took her hand gently but firmly shaking it then bringing his hand back to his lap. "Pretty good, I have a girlfriend, lost that girlfriend, got her back, and now we're both waiting for the battle of the bands to start up, are you going to be there?"Ashton asked not letting Anthony break into his savage rule of the conversation. "Heh, you'd be surprised to know Ashton does that sometimes, when he's super hyper. He won't be drunk or anything, he'll just keep running into the god forsaken wall."Anthony said laughing as Ashton squirmed uncomfortably about the fact it was true he did that. Anthony chuckled as Ashton squirmed. "He doesn't like people talking about him, well, he does, just not about the stupid things he does, he starts squirming like he's being tickled."Anthony said laughing to himself as Ashton glared at him.

"Wow. Well, glad to hear you've worked things out," Alexis said sincerely. Although she was slightly curious --like any other human-- about why he'd lost his girlfriend the first time, she didn't ask, being as it was none of her business. If he'd have wanted her to know, he'd have said it from the getgo. But who the hell told their woes to random strangers? Certainly not her, so she definitely didn't expect it from anyone else. "Uh Battle of the Bands?" she repeated, mini frown once again on her face, since she didn't know there was going to be one of those in New York. Not surprising though, being as she was mostly always out of the social loop. When your nose was buried inside a book as much as hers was, you didn't know about a lot. "Maybe. When is it happening and where?" she asked. If she went, it'd probably be with her brother, of course.
It was sort of rude to talk about someone in front of their faces, and even behind it, so she didn't make it a habit. As siblings it wasn't frowned upon though, since it was all in good fun. She however, wouldn't contribute to it, especially since she didn't know either parties that well. If they'd been chums as tight as spandex, she'd be right in there laying it on thick. "You guys eating?" she questioned when the waitress returned with her meal and set it in front of her. She'd feel sort of weird 'chowing down' when no one else was, as it'd feel as if they were evaluating her methods.

"Thank you."Ashton said a grin on his face. Looking at Anthony they looked like they were thinking, or studying each other. "New years, or New years eve, I believe though, its New Years, and Time Square? I want to say, but then, maybe not."Antony said turning around. "They haven't given us those answers yet but rumors say thats it."Antony said laughing. "It would probably help to know since we're playing and all Ant."Ashton said pushing Ant playfully. "We actually ate before we got here, the only reason me and Ash came in was because it was cold."Ant said laughing. Ashton shrugged. "I want some fries."He said looking at the waitress and smiling as she left to get them. Antony laughed "What is it, as soon as you get away from Ma you eat unhealthy?"Ant teased.
