So it wasn't exactly midnight, more like 10:30 or so. The sky was a dark black with the stars shining through the night. Olivia had ventured out of her home, for her favorite event at Central Park. The Midnight Concert. Every week a new band would come and play, the music range from your rock n' roll to swing. Tonight? Ballroom music with a twist. The nineteen-year-old walked along the pathway, soon getting to the concert. A crowd was there tonight and she decided to stay in the back, away from everyone, but close enough to hear the music.
Olivia was wearing a black minidress with black tights tucked into high-heeled boots. The black color of her boots contrasted the white legwarmers over them. A soft brow jacket kept her warm, even though it was opened up. It was lined with faux-fur, going all the way down the zipper and around the hood. Her loose tresses were wavy as always, as she ran a hand through her hair.

Chris post
Having never been to the the midnight concert before, this certain individual was at a bit of a loss. He'd only really showed up because a certain brunette had mentioned it, and said it should be fun, so why shouldn't he make an appearance? If he didn't catch sight of her in the first thirty minutes or so though, he'd more than likely make an exit.
Long legs carried him towards the crowd, feet cushioned within cumfortable, laceless black sneakers. Blue-grey eyes scanned the unique mix of people, seeking out only one. Hooking his thumbs within the front loops of dark blue jeans as he walked, he lightly bit the inside of his lower lip, briefly flicking his gaze towards the 'stage'. Hmm, maybe the whole shindig shouldn't be too bad. Returning to his search, he settled his gaze on her finally, small smile curving his lips as he did. He made his way over, casually standing next to her once he was close. "Hey," he said in greeting, slipping his hands into his pants pockets, now.
"You look nice," he said after a moment, and she did. He himself had went for casual as usual, though a white button down the front shirt with the top buttons undone, sat upon his torso. His black motorcycle hung over that, opened. "So, how's your night so far?" he asked her, making light conversation, focus upon her.

Olivia was slightly startled as someone spoke behind. She gasped softly, turning around to greet the boy with a bright smile. A rare sight to see her smile like that, but for some reason, this boy got her to do it. "Hey!" she said, looking back at him. "Thank you.. You look pretty good yourself," she told him, with a smirk, putting her hands into her coat's pockets. "It's nice.. Though it's better with company." she told him, smiling.
She looked back at the band, then back at Chris. "How"s Kendra?" she asked, curious about the girl. She was a special little girl and Olivia had gotten attached. She always did so easily.

"I'll second that," Chris smirked. Especially her company, since she was so fun/nice to be around. "Mm, Kendra's good. Not sleeping yet. Seems I let her consume too much sugar too," he chuckled. "I feel sorry for her dad, since she'll be keeping him up probably into the wee hours of the morning. My fault though...I have difficulty denying her whatever she wants." Anybody who knew the little girl, would probably encounter the same problem as well.
"I've never been to one of these," he informed randomly. "See, I'm not much of a...concert guy, I guess." When he did dance, which was a rare thing to begin with, it was usually on a club dance floor, nestled away with his partner on some dark part of it. Not that he didn't have rhythm, but he was...shy when it came to people looking at him and scoping out his moves? "But seeing as you love dancing so much," he began, remembering something she'd shared at the cafe. "Coming out here is probably like a second home to you huhn?"

"It's the candy canes, isn't it?" she said, smiling. "She shoulnd't have befriended an elf then, 'cause I'll always have some for her.." It was true actually. Being on the job, she always grabbed a few since Ophelia loved them so much. She did too, but having too much would cause her to have a candy cane indigestion. Not fun. "She's too cute to say 'no'.." she said, understanding where he was coming from. Kind of. Back when Ophe and her were kids, they always played up their 'cute twins' act to get what they wanted. That didn't make the girl spoiled though, since they could never have /everything/ they wanted.
"It is." she said, nodding. "It's just like, the ngihtime and the music.. They make great match." she said, smiling. She glanced down at the ground nervously, before looking up at him. "Would you like to dance?" she asked, smiling softly.

"Yup. And the icing on the cake was the hot chocolate at the Cafe," Christian smirked, that same small smile dancing about his lips. "Ha, supply her with constant sugar and my brother will kill me. Either that or give her to me to watch at night. Then I'll probably be a grouch in the morning when I have to go to work." He guessed it was a very good thing he was still on vacation. Would be going back after Boxing Day, though. "Yeah she is. When I left, she was showing her dad the little turtle doves you gave her. She really likes you." However, he failed to mention the fact that Kenny told her father that Olivia was his 'girlfwend'. Aye. And that's /after/ he cleared it up at the cafe that him and the girl were merely friends. But maybe Kendra was seeing something he wasn't.
At her invitation to dance, Chris peeked the tip of his tongue outside of his lips, thinking it over. Why not? It shouldn't be bad. "Sure," he accepted, not put off by the fact that she'd asked. Hell, it wasn't the seventeenth century or something, when it would probably have been frowned upon. Extracting a hand from the warmth of his pocket, he took one of her smaller ones into his. "Where?" he asked, wondering if she had a preference as to which part of the place they 'boogied down'.

"Imagine if it /had/ been icing on a cake!' she said, laughing. "You know what she mgiht like?" she said, reminded of something. Olivia knew a lot about the different activities that went on in Central Park, it being her favorite place in New York. "They have these.. Y'know, those sleds pulled with dogs?" she said, before remembering the name. "Dogsleds. Right." she said, laughing at how obvious it was. "Well, they give these dogsleds ride during the weekends, it's really fun.."
"Oh, I'm glad she liked them.." she said, grinning. "It was either that or more candy canes.." she added, laughing. As she heard about his 'work', she coulnd't help but ask. "What do you do?"
Her grin grew wider as he accepted her offer and took her hand. She raised her other hand up to his shoulder, biting her lower lip. "Right here." she told him, stepping sloly along the soft music. She wasn't sure if he was much of a dancer, so if she saw he didn't exactly lead, she'd do it herself. Hm. She could teach him a step or two.

Chuckling softly, Chris shook his head. "Well, I guess I should be lucky she doesn't like cake that much huhn?" he asked, smirking a bit. She preferred it with caramel milk on top, otherwise she wasn't eating it. Sort of like him actually. "Dogsleds huhn?" he murmured, rubbing at his chin as he pondered whether or not to bring Kendra. "Weell, only if you'd be there," he smirked once more. "And it's not only Kendra who'd want to see you," he hinted, gaze averted. He was semi-flirting with her but he wasn't even aware of it.
"Hmm?" he asked, being as he was semi-distracted by his thoughts. "Oh. I deliver packages...mostly from state to state. Sometimes just around the city, if I'm lucky," he smiled. "So maybe one of these days I may be knocking on your door."
Resting his hand on her hip, he said, "Uh...I only know the stance. Dancing to this sort of music isn't exactly my thing." So he was man enough to admit he had not a clue what to do. If she wanted to find a more competent partner, then she was free to do so. Otherwise, they'd have to either settle to just talking, or she'd have to teach him. He was a quick enough learner, so she wouldn't become frustrated with him.

"Mm-hm." she said, nodding. She smiled even more as he mentionned she should be there. /He/ wanted her there? Wow, she was pretty surprised by that, but it felt nice. "I'd love to go.." she told him softly.
"That's cool." she said as she heard he delivered packages. So many most thought it wasn't that great, but Olivia was thinking about the traveling and the whole 'people-contact' thing. She liked that. I mean, you had to feel good when you delivered a package to someone who was expecting it with excitement, right? It was like you made their day. She giggled softly as he mentionned knocking on her door, glancing down shyly - it was a bad habit - before looking back up.
"That's okay." she told him as he confessed he didn't really dance. "I'll teach a step or two." she said, nodding. "Just follow my lead.." she said, moving her feet to the music. It was a semi-slow song, so it wasn't that complicated either. "You just have to count the steps, wihout looking down at your feet, 'cause that confuses you.. And you go, one, two, three.. One, two three.." she said softly, counting with the music beat. She moved her feet along, swaying her hips side to side.
